Timothy Shawn ‘Timmy’ Filburn – Newport, pa.

Mr. Timothy Shawn “Timmy” Filburn, 52, of Newport, Pa., died Tuesday morning, June 4, 2019, at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle, Pa. He was the husband of Mrs. Ann Marie “Annie” Pagliari Filburn, whom he married in 1992. Born Dec. 25, 1966, in Charleroi, he was a son of Robert Alden Filburn II of Donora and the late Judy Rae Jones Filburn. He attended Ringgold High School and Charleroi Area VoTech for auto body, graduating in 1986. Earlier, he worked at Monongahela Meat Room; and later with Roadway Express, now YNR. Tim was very much a sportsman. He was very talented in baseball and participated with a local adult league. He was also a very avid hunter and fisherman. Besides his wife and father, he is survived by his children, Hannah Marie Filburn and fiancé John Rushton of Woodbridge, Va., and Jacob Hunter Filburn at home in Newport; brothers, Robert A. Filburn III and wife Monica of Carlisle, Pa., and Mark C. Filburn and wife Christine of Mount Holly, Pa.; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins and in-laws. In addition to his mother, Tim was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. The family will receive friends at NICKEL-LOCHSTAPFOR FAMILY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 3626 Sherman’s Valley Road, Loysville, Pa., from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019. A funeral service will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert F. Sharman of St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, New Bloomfield, Pa., offering prayers. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery, Loysville, Pa. Arrangments handled by the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home Inc., 3626 Sherman’s Valley Road, Loysville, PA 17047.
