Plus-size crusade continues

A former Monessen resident with an important message for women has no plans to slow down.
Jerrica Brooks, currently of Pittsburgh, started her body-positive journey more than three years ago and is continuing to expand her outreach.
Brooks founded PrettyNPlus, a plus-size modeling company, in 2017. Brooks, who is 32, said she was in her 20s before she started to love her body and her curves.
As an overweight teen, she said she often laughed through the bullying, but as an adult has found a voice — and a group of women who are lifting each other up through their photos and encouraging others to do the same.
