McKeesport man charged in fatal shooting

Allegheny County Police have charged a McKeesport man in a shooting Saturday in Swissvale that killed a man and sent two other people to area hospitals.
According to court documents, Charlton Mitchell, 21, is charged with homicide and related charges.
The shooting was reported at about 1:45 a.m. in the 7500 block of Ellesmere Avenue, according to the criminal complaint. Officers arrived to find a man with multiple gunshot wounds on the front porch of a home. Officials didn’t immediately confirm the identity of the victim, who was dead at the scene.
According to the complaint, the man’s death was ruled a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds. A post-mortem examination revealed he was shot twice in his trunk and once in his buttocks, police said.
