David C. Leech Sr., 62, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 1, 2019, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born March 20, 1957, in New Eagle, Dave was the son of the late Francis and Frances Castor Leech. A graduate of Monongahela High School, for many years Dave was self-employed as a contractor and cement finisher around the Valley. He was a member of the Donora Eagles, the Arroas Haymakers and Hootowls Club, both of New Eagle, a former member of the Allenport Rod and Gun Club. Anyone who had known Dave, knew how much he loved riding his Harley and shooting pool with his family in various leagues around the area. Surviving are two daughters, Michell Leech and fiancé Daniel Sarver of Wilkinsburg, and Chrystal and husband Adam Niemeier of Dunlevy; three brothers, Gary and Carol Leech of Carroll Township, Scott Leech of Charleroi, and Darrin Leech of New Eagle; a sister, Sherry Griffith of New Eagle; two grandchildren, Chase and Maia Niemeier; along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his son, David C. Leech Jr., who died July 29, 2009; and two brothers, Dennis F. and Keith Leech. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019, with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery
