Two months ago, Elizabeth Forward and Mt. Pleasant got a glimpse at what would turn out to be its WPIAL championship opponent.
In a non-section game, Mount Pleasant won 4-0 as Carolyn Alincic rolled to a three-hit shutout.
It was, in many accounts, a dominating victory for the Vikings. Harry Rutherford, though, is confident that today’s Elizabeth Forward team is much different than the one that stepped on the field for that early season matchup.
