Grace Jeffries – Roscoe

Grace Jeffries, 89, of Roscoe, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born in Elco, on July 25, 1929, daughter of Samuel and Grace Smith Kent. Grace was employed for several years at the former Santoni’s Restaurant in Charleroi. Grace was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Pittsburgh Chapter Eastern Star and The Order of the Amaranth and was a 50-year member of her canasta club. She is survived by her son, John Jeffries and his significant other Judi Cluett of Belle Vernon; and a daughter, Karen Jeffries Taylor of Roscoe. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, John Jeffries, on April 18, 1987; two brothers, Bill and Bud Kent; and two sisters, Helyn Duleck and Garnet Parkins. Per Grace’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends are asked to gather at Howe Cemetery, Long Branch, at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019, for a committal service at the chapel with the Rev. Rick Bowser presiding.
