SPHS holds annual golf outing

One day, nearly five decades ago, Art Lent’s brother took him to golf for the first time.

He fell in love with the sport.

“I went home and bought a set of clubs and I’ve been golfing ever since,” he said.

On Tuesday, he was on the links with his brother, Frank Lent of California, and son, Terry Lent of East Millsboro, at Chippewa Golf Course in Bentleyville. They were among 39 teams of golfers participating in the 40th annual Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging Senior Golf Tournament.

The outing is open each year to residents of Fayette, Greene and Washington counties who are 50 or older.
