Stephen J. Rechichar, 71, of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 20, 2019, at his home. He was born on Feb. 4, 1948, in Monessen, the son of the late Stephen J. Rechichar Sr. and Alice (D’Alfonso) Rechichar. Steve was a 1966 graduate of Monessen High School and a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where he received two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree in political science. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. Steve is survived by his daughter, Rachel A. Newton-Rechichar; brother, Richard A. (Debra) Rechichar; and several cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen.
