EF safety grant approved for EF

Elizabeth Forward School District will receive a grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.
Elizabeth Forward will enhance support programs for students for the 2019-20 school year with the $187,627 grant from the commission’s School Safety and Security Committee.
EF will add an elementary guidance counselor for two years with the grant money and will partner with UPMC to add additional mental health services throughout the school district.
The district will continue to train staff with positive behavior intervention and support strategies. This program promotes evidence-based prevention and intervention practices to support students academically, socially, emotionally and behaviorally.
