Darlene A. Beresik Engel – Belle Vernon

Darlene A. Beresik Engel, 75, of Belle Vernon, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at Haven Crest Nursing Home, Carroll Township. Born May 21, 1943, in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Mary Teplican Beresik. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Engel was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, was a homemaker, a member of the Belle Vernon Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 209 and was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Mandy Engel of Belle Vernon, and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Joseph Engel; and brother, Jospeh A. Beresik. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Elmer Alforque as celebrant. Interment will take place in Monongahela Cemetery.  Members of the Belle Vernon Fire Department will pay their respects at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
