Eight candidates are seeking three seats on Fayette County’s Board of Commissioners in Tuesday’s primary.

Incumbent Vincent A. Vicites and newcomers Kevin D. Jones and Harold Whyel are vying for two Democratic party nominations. Five Republican candidates — incumbent Dave Lohr and newcomers Elise Glad, Jacob Ely, Scott Dunn and Santino Guzzo — are seeking two GOP nominations.

The top two vote-getters from each party will move on to November’s general election, where the top three vote-getters will fill the board for four-year terms. Incumbent Republican Angela Zimmerlink is not seeking re-election.
