Warriors eager for playoff return

It was just one week ago that Elizabeth Forward’s playoff fate was relatively unknown.
Competing in a competitive Section 3-4A with the likes of Ringgold, Thomas Jefferson, South Park and Belle Vernon Area, the Warriors were faced with a must-win scenario on Wednesday.
In order to advance to the WPIAL playoffs for the first time in five years, EF had to top a tough BVA squad on its home surface at Wylie Field.
“At the end of the year, all of our focus and drive was just to find a way to get into the playoffs,” Elizabeth Forward head coach Frank Champ said.
