An arrest warrant was issued this week for a New Stanton man accused of attempting to lure two underage girls into his vehicle in Donora.

Michael Anthony Eckel, 36, of Woodmere Drive was charged with one count of luring a child into a motor vehicle following the alleged incidents Tuesday.

Around 9:45 a.m., Eckel allegedly stopped his vehicle in the 800 block of Thompson Avenue and spoke to a juvenile girl who was walking by herself, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Eckel allegedly repeatedly asked the girl for directions and made comments including, “Hey, baby. How are you doing?” When the girl walked away, Eckel continued to watch her until she met up with some friends and he drove away, police said.
