Pooch parade planned for Saturday in Monongahela

Sponsors have their fingers crossed that Mother Nature will not rain on the Pooch Parade this year.
Event Chairwoman Corrina Withrow said the 11th annual Pooch Parade has been moved to Mother’s Day weekend in hopes of dryer weather.
“It has rained for the past two years” Withrow said. “It has literally rained on our parade and we are hoping moving it up will make for a little less wet weather.”
Sponsored by the Monongahela Area Revitalization Corp., all paws will be on deck this Saturday. Registration will begin 10 a.m. in the parking lot behind Angelo II’s restaurant on Third Street in Monongahela.
