When players from Yough and Frazier take the field for a nonsection contest on Wednesday, they’ll be going above and beyond to pick up a victory heading into the postseason.
But they’ll also be striving to “Strike Out Cancer.”
The two teams will face off in Yough’s annual event 4 p.m. on Cougar Mountain, taking part in a “Color War.”
The teams have been selling t-shirts to raise money for the Mario Lemieux Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for cancer research and patient care, as well as Austin’s Playrooms, an initiative that creates playrooms for children and families in medical facilities.
