BVA’s season ends with 3-1 loss to unbeaten Mt. Pleasant
Belle Vernon Area’s season came to a close with a 3-1 nonsection defeat at the hands of Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday afternoon.
Vikings ace Carolyn Alincic allowed one run on four hits while walking three and striking out 14 in the victory.
She was given a three-run cushion in the first inning as Haylie Brunson blasted a two-run home run as one of her two hits in the game. Katie Hutter added an RBI in the frame for Mt. Pleasant (15-0).
Sophie Godzak suffered the loss for BVA (7-13), allowing three earned runs on six hits in six innings. She walked a pair and struck out six.
