Ralph ‘Butch’ Yakich – Charleroi

Ralph “Butch” Yakich, 71, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2019, at Southwestern Healthcare Center in West Mifflin. Ralph was born in North Charleroi on April 4, 1948, the son of the late Ralph and Ann (Suchy) Yakich. Butch was an avid fan of the Pirates, Steelers and many Pittsburgh area teams. He also had a love for bingo and scratch-off lottery tickets. Butch is survived by his nephew, Michael (Susan) Mammarella of Upper St. Clair and their daughters, Angelina and Katryna Mammarella; niece, Kim (Andrew) Oswald of Upper St. Clair; cousin, Lori (Joseph) Caton and their daughter, Brianna Caton of Roscoe. In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine; brother-in-law, Ike Mammarella; and his brother, Thomas Yakich. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Southwestern Healthcare Center for all their love and care they gave Butch during his time there. A memorial service, along with interment, will be held at Mon-Valley Memorial Park at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
