Now at the point of the season in which teams are making their final push for the playoffs, it’s common for baseball coaches to refer to games as must-wins.
Teams on the fringe of the postseason focus on playing mistake-free baseball in hopes of getting the chance to compete deeper into May.
The Charleroi Cougars are one of those teams.

But unfortunately for Luke Mollis’ squad, the mistakes were too much as they suffered a 13-2 loss at the hands of Beth-Center in five innings at Vets Field.
Charleroi (5-8, 3-6) committed seven errors and now sits 2 1/2 games behind the Raiders for fourth place with three section games remaining.
