BVA avoids letdown in 9-1 rout of McKeesport

Belle Vernon Area head coach Daryl Hixenbaugh was worried his team might suffer a letdown Thursday.

Less than 24 hours prior, Belle Vernon Area had beaten Ringgold, the top team in the section and one its biggest rivals. 

Emotions ran high after the win, so high that Hixenbaugh feared his team could overlook the Tigers.

After a bit of a slow start, those worries proved to be unwarranted as the Leopards took care of business, taking down the Tigers, 9-1, to extend their winning streak to three games.
