Warriors earn section title with win over Jaguars

Elizabeth Forward knew that this was its year to win the section.
Over the past few seasons, good Elizabeth Forward softball teams fell short of that mark, often due to facing tough teams such as Yough and Belle Vernon Area.
But Yough is no longer in the section, and Belle Vernon Area is down this year after star pitcher Bailey Parshall’s graduation.
So as Harry Rutherford assessed the section going into the year, he figured the only thing that stood in his team’s way was Thomas Jefferson, which dropped down from 5A to 4A.
