Rams walk off in instant classic

One of the most over-used adages in sports is the claim that a team never quits, no matter how dire the situation.
However, few teams have worn the mantra of battling to the last out more than the Ringgold Rams did to claim a heart-stopping 6-5 win over Thomas Jefferson in a 10-inning showdown for first place in Section 3-4A at Ken Griffey Field Monday.
After blowing a bases-loaded, one-out situation and failing to score in the bottom of the eighth, the Rams watched as TJ scored four runs in the top of the ninth for what appeared to be an insurmountable 5-1 lead.
