Matchmaking runs amok in ‘Emma! A Pop Musical’

Lyrics from the hit song “Unwritten” bring home the theme of “Emma! A Pop Musical,” set to debut at Belle Vernon Area Middle School this week.
Performances are set from Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. each night in the auditorium. Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for students.
The show follows Emma Woodhouse, a senior at Highbury Prep School, who discovers her talent for match-making.
Emma, played by eighth grader Sienna Lehner, successfully paired up two lonely teachers, played by Emily Angelo and Luciano Lopez, who end up getting married as the entire cast sings “Going to the Chapel.”
