Grow Mon Valley has partnership with local food bank

Fresh produce won’t be in short supply for Mon Valley residents thanks to a new partnership between the Greater Washington County Food Bank and Grow Mon Valley.
The organizations recently announced a merger effective April 26.
Administrator Healthy Habits Training Center at Greater Washington County Food Bank, Jodi Gatts and Grow Mon Valley leaders Michelle Parnell, Jacqueline Inserra and Nazareth Victoria, will begin working together to bring community-led gardens to Mon Valley neighborhoods.
The organizations will work together to develop a multi-purpose program that focuses on gardening in the community, educational programs and designing gardens to grow the food bank.
