Plans are almost finalized for the fourth annual Bring Your Child to Work Day next week at Charleroi Area School District.
The student-led program began in 2016 under the leadership of former student Katelyn Valla with help from social studies teacher Mary Ann Schaefer.
Last year, Valla prepared Samantha Fleming to take over her duties after graduation. Now Fleming is organizing plans for the event before she finalizes her own plans for graduation in a few weeks.
Though she will not be heading the program next year, Fleming knows it will be in good hands, as junior Emma Valla, Katelyn’s younger sister, will take over.
