As a kid growing up in Fairhope, Ed Britton had a casual interest in the game of golf.
During a 20-year career in the Air Force where he served as a flight instructor for helicopter and F-16 fighter jet pilots, Britton became an avid golfer.
“When I was in the Air Force, no matter where I was stationed, there was a lot of golf,” Britton recalled. “Everybody played golf in their spare time.”
Britton’s love affair with golf continued to grow.
But it took an encounter with PGA legend Arnold Palmer to influence Britton to eventually become what he is today – one of 371 PGA Master Golf Professionals in the world.
