Wilma Swalin – Monessen

Wilma Swalin, 76, of Monessen, died Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills. She was born Sept. 2, 1942, in Belle Vernon, daughter of the late Charles Evans and late Mary Catherine Spence Canestrale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise R. Swalin; and a brother, Raymond Evans. Survivors include her three sons, Charles (Melinda) Swalin of Carroll Township, Joseph Swalin of Kentucky, and Timothy (Michele) Swalin of Virginia; four grandchildren, Rachel, Alisha, Joseph and Michele; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Michelle (Martin) Turkovich of Monessen, Wanda (John) Gaspich of Monessen, Mary Kyle of Monessen and Kathy Byrne of Michigan; a brother, Michael (Robin) Canestrale of Monessen; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Anthony L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC., 40 Second St. Ext., Donora, PA 15033, 724-379-6900.
