Resnik named Athlete of the Week

Elizabeth Forward’s Anna Resnik is your prototypical leadoff hitter.
The sophomore speedster is known as the type of player who does whatever it takes to get on base at the top of the lineup, drawing walks, picking up singles and driving balls into the gaps for extra bases.
That was never more evident than in last year’s WPIAL Class 4A championship game against Belle Vernon Area.
With EF trailing 5-4, Resnik followed a Kailey Larcinese single with a double into right field, putting runners on second and third with no outs.
