New track and field program growing at PSUGA

Every year, thousands of athletes around the WPIAL show off their skills in running, jumping, and throwing in track and field.
It is one of the most popular sports across Western Pennsylvania and continues to grow in popularity with the country’s clearinghouse of high school sports naming it the No. 1 and fastest growing high school participatory sport.
It is this popularity that Penn State Greater Allegheny Athletic Director Korie Morton-Rozier wanted to tap into when looking to add a new sport to help boost enrollment.
Track and field was one she was very familiar with and one that she felt could help take PSUGA athletics to the next level.
