Leps, Rams set to battle in pivotal section matchup

A week and a half ago, Ringgold head softball coach Gregg Adams wondered if there was any chance his team would end up contending for a playoff spot out of Section 2-4A.
Three wins later and the Rams currently hold the fourth and final playoff spot out of the section.
However, their rivals from Belle Vernon Area are right there in their rear view mirror.
That’s what makes today’s matchup between Ringgold and Belle Vernon Area so important.
A win for the Rams gives them a two-game advantage over BVA, while a victory for the Leopards puts them in a tie for the fourth spot.
