‘Dee-Termination’ scholarships presented at McKeesport Area

McKeesport Deputy Fire Chief Jeff List and his wife Bobbie awarded scholarships to two McKeesport Area High School seniors on Wednesday, saying it gives them “a great sense of gratefulness.”
Jeff said his family feels that Mc-Keesport Area School District “has gone above and beyond” to help their daughter, Danielle, “achieve anything she has ever wanted to achieve.”
“Our daughter is special needs and the district has done everything in its power to ensure that she has a full and equal education. They make sure she has everything she needs to succeed,” he said. “Anything she wants to do, the school makes it happen.”
Their daughter, Danielle, known by many as “Dee,” is a junior at the school. She has used a wheelchair for her entire life, but according to her father, she doesn’t allow herself to be confined to it.
