Janet A. Nicholson Bulger – Belle Vernon

Janet A. Nicholson Bulger, 96, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019, at Mon Valley Hospital, Monongahela. Born Nov. 1, 1922, in Johnstown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George and Carrie May Miller Nicholson. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 68 years, Mrs. Bulger was a member of First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and was retired from the former Hills Department Store in Belle Vernon, where she worked as an assistant supervisor. Janet enjoyed listening to music, crossword puzzles and crocheting. She is survived by her five children, Marianne and Paul Strizak of Rockville, Md., Thomas and Kerry Armstrong of Coraopolis, Linda and Michael Behling of Monongahela, Patricia and Ronald Russin of Grindstone and Katherine Rao of West Hills, Calif; six grandchildren, Lori (Randall) Russell, Mary Beth Howe, Sheri (Thomas) Rea, Vijay (Celine) Rao, Sanjay (Shan) Rao and Robert Armstrong; five great-grandchildren, Jonathan Russell, Andrew Howe, Logan Armstrong, Aiden Rea and Elizabeth Russell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald M. Bulger, in 1959; granddaughter, Judith Strizak; great-grandson, Henry Rao; son-in-law, Ramana Rao; and numerous brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations with the Rev. Derek Platt of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Condolences accepted at the funeral home’s website, www.parzynskifuneralhome.com.
