Spring is upon us, and the warms days of summer are just around the corner.
White Oak borough council knows Mon Valley residents will be looking for a place to cool off as the heat rolls in. That’s why they spent Monday’s council meeting discussing the upcoming 2019 Heritage Hill Pool season.
The pool, located on Victoria Drive, will open Memorial Day, May 27, weather permitting.
After months of debate, council decided not to raise season pass rates this season. Passes will remain $60 for residents and $100 for non-residents. Season passes for residents 65 and older are $30; and $60 for non-resident seniors. Proper identification is required during purchase. Each individual who purchases a season pass will be issued a photo ID, which is to be shown every time they enter the pool complex. There is a $10 replacement fee for lost passes.
Season pass applications can be downloaded by visiting www.woboro.com/recreation. The applications can be dropped off at the borough building or at the pool office with a check made payable to White Oak borough with 2019 season pool pass written in the memo line.
