A Carmichaels man accused of raping a 9-year-old girl in a Belle Vernon borough residence has been ordered to stand trial.
Donald Ray Huffman II, 29, of Old Waynesburg Road, appeared Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge Daniel C. Shimshock in Masontown.
Following a preliminary hearing, he was held for court on charges of rape of a child, sexual assault and indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age.
State police filed charges Feb. 1 with Magisterial District Judge Richard Kasunic in Star Junction, following an investigation stemming from reports of suspected child abuse in November, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
