Walter Harris – Formerly of Monessen

Walter Harris, 87, died March 28, 2019, at his residence in Shelby Township, Shelby, Mich. He was the son of the late Margaret and Theodore Harris. He was born in Connellsville and resided in Monessen. Walter graduated from Monessen High School, Class of 1949. He also graduated from California State University. He served in the Korean War. Walter went on to teach school in Sidney, Ohio, before working for U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh for 25 years as an industrial engineer. He attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monessen. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Geraldine; daughter Leslie and husband Victor; grandsons, Sam and Spencer; and many cousins. Burial was in Holly, Mich.
