George D. Kvasnak, 90, of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Norbert Personal Care Home in Pittsburgh. An Army veteran having served during the Korean War, he retired as the founder and owner of Garage Door Service Inc., in Elizabeth. Born March 8, 1929, in Clairton, he was a son of the late George J. and Mary Matusovic Kvasnak and husband of the late Gerda Schwarz Kvasnak. He is survived by daughter, Lynn Metheney of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandson, Jonathan M. Kvasnak of Elizabeth Township; and sister, Laverne Thompson of Florence, S.C. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by son, Martin J. Kvasnak. Friends will be received in the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 N. Second Ave., Elizabeth, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019. No services are planned. Offer condolences at www.bekavacfuneralhome.com.
