Legendary flight captured in new book

An Elizabeth Township woman has recorded the stories of her father’s World War II flying exploits in a newly released book.
Cyndi Rojohn doesn’t consider herself an author and has limited interest in history, but her love for her father inspired her to write “The Piggyback Flight Pilot’s Journey,” which details U.S. Army Capt. Glenn Rojohn’s experiences as a bomber pilot.
Her father flew 22 combat missions in a four-engine B-17 Flying Fortress. Capt. Rojohn and his crew flew out of bases in England, crossing the Channel to face anti-aircraft fire and enemy fighters to drop their bomb loads on well-defended German cities.
