Electronics recycling will be conducted at JVS in Ellsburg

By Mon Valley Independent

For The MV Independent

JVS Environmental will be hosting regular electronics recycling events at its new permanent recycling facility at 1 American Way in Ellsworth, behind the post office.

The site will be open from 2 to 6 p.m. April 16 and 30. More dates and times will be announced later.

JVS Environmental will be managing the site, and participants should enter from Almond Road past the Beer Here beer distributor. This site will replace the monthly electronics collection program that was previously held at the Washington Mall.

Items to be collected include computer monitors (CRTs and LCDs), computer towers and bases (CPUs), mice, keyboards and speakers, notebook computers, printers, televisions (CRTs and LCDs), Freon appliances, fluorescent tubes and CFL bulbs and most household appliances. Vacuum cleaners, carpet scrubbers, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors will not be accepted. Most items will be collected free of charge.
