Serra Catholic blows out Shady Side Academy

Hits and runs came in large supply as Serra Catholic piled up 14 hits en route to a 15-0 victory over Shady Side Academy in a three-inning Section 2-2A matchup Tuesday.
The impressive offensive display came one day after the Eagles (4-2, 4-1) finished with 16 hits in a 15-4 win over Northgate.
“The last few games we have really pounded the ball,” Serra Catholic head coach Denny Willaman said. “Everyone is staying patient, finding their roles and hitting the crap out of the ball.”
Every player reached base at least once for Serra Catholic while four players finished with multi-hit games.
