Mistakes aplenty, but Trojans still beat Rockets

The undershirts that are worn by the California Area baseball team stress one simple mantra: “Just get the W (win).”

On Wednesday, the first-place Trojans got the ‘W’ as they beat Jefferson-Morgan in Sec. 2A, 4-1, at Malden Yards.

However, after the game, even optimistic Trojan coach Lou Pasquale had a hard time smiling about the ‘W.’

Why?

Well, it was a game in which his Trojans (6-1, 4-0) made more mistakes, both mental and physical, than Pasquale would expect to see in an entire season, let alone just seven innings.
