Leon I. Burkett – North Belle Vernon

Leon I. Burkett, 86, of North Belle Vernon, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019, in his home. A son of the late George and Maude Tanner Burkett, he was born in Lincoln Heights, Jeannette, on June 2, 1932. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union, Pittsburgh Local No. 9, and was a lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon. He had also been employed by U.S. Steel and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by a sister, Patricia Harold and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
