About two dozen residents packed the chambers at Wednesday’s Washington Township supervisors meeting to find out if police are still investigating a case involving a dead dog.
The room was filled with people from the Justice for Otto group, who wanted to find out why no one has been charged in the case of a 3-year-old German shepherd that was “violently killed” in the township in February.
The group alleged that Supervisors Dan Moody and Jan Amoroso are pressuring the police department to not investigate the case, but both officials denied the accusations Wednesday.
The group’s leader refused to identify herself at the meeting, claiming she has been receiving “violent threats” via social media for speaking out about Otto’s death. She said the group was under the impression that the supervisors were “close friends” with one of the unidentified suspects, adding that many people believe Amoroso and Moody are members of a P.N.A. club that is managed by one of the alleged suspects.
