Grace Ann Zubricky – Charleroi

Grace Ann Zubricky, 88, of Charleroi, Fallowfield Township, died Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Cambridge Creekside, Charleroi. She was born Feb. 8, 1931, in Belle Vernon, the daughter of Amerigo and Anna Schuresko Colelli. Grace was a member of Mary Mother of the Church in Charleroi. She graduated from California State Teachers College in 1952 and taught in Baltimore City Schools for several years before returning to Pennsylvania, where she taught in East McKeesport and Elizabeth Forward schools. In later years, she enjoyed being a substitute teacher. Grace was an avid reader and enjoyed her book club discussions as well as political discussions.​ She is survived by two daughters, Anne (Bill) Darby of Charleroi, Elizabeth (Dwight) Laufman of Pittsburgh; son, Rudolph (Joanne) Zubricky of Howey In The Hills, Fla.; four grandchildren, Margaret (Chris) Laufman Saselu, Christopher Laufman, Emily and Madelin Zubricky; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Saselu and twins, Nicholas and Christopher Saselu.​ In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Zubricky.​ Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2019, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019, in Mary Mother of the Church with the Rev. Kevin Dominik as celebrant. Committal services and interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.​ In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging, 305 Chamber Plaza, Charleroi, PA 15022.
