Doris J. Risley – Belle Vernon

Doris J. Risley, 86, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2019. A daughter of the late William H. and Florence M. Anderson White, she was born in Denbo, Pa., on Oct. 1, 1932. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 75 years, Doris had been a member of First Christian Church in Belle Vernon and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Belle Vernon Fire Company. She had been employed by Belle Vernon Area School District for 15 years as a bus driver, retiring in 1995. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Marcella Kiefer with whom she made her home and Patti Jo and Virgil Diamond of Grindstone; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Eileen Wall of Liberty; three grandchildren, Richard (Erin) Vitale Jr. of Washington, Pa., Renee Lynn (Kenny) Marsh of Rostraver Township and Katherine Leigh Diamond of Brownsville; and three great-grandchildren, Kenny Marsh III, Melina Vitale and Nikolas Vitale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Risley, in 1995; her twin sister, Dolores Evans; a brother, William White; and a granddaughter, Christine Wall. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
