Is he behind door number one, door number two or door number three?
No, this is not a redo of “Let’s Make a Deal,” but could the father of the bride be hidden behind one of those doors?
When Elizabeth Forward’s Theater Department stages its spring musical this week, visions of “Let’s Make a Deal” may be stirring among the audience. But instead of a Monty Hall revival, it will be the hit musical, “Mamma Mia!,” in which a bride-to-be, Sophie, accidentally discovers that any one of three men could be her father and, without her mother’s knowledge, she surreptitiously invites each potential father to her wedding.
Elizabeth Forward will present “Mamma Mia!” 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
“With so many talented students this seemed like the right show for us this year,” said EF musical director and choreographer Alana Wieclaw. ‘Mamma Mia!’ features a wide range of actors and actresses and the kids are doing an excellent job embodying their characters. We also love doing huge dance numbers, and there are plenty in ‘Mamma Mia.’”
