Walker’s walk-off triple sinks Warriors

West Mifflin’s Jake Walker lined a walk-off triple to left-center field in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Titans a 4-3 victory over Elizabeth Forward in Section 3-4A play Wednesday afternoon.

Elizabeth Forward head coach Frank Champ was disappointed that his team couldn’t provide more at the plate, but thought his Warriors fought hard in their section opener.

“To be honest I thought we would hit the ball better than we did,” Champ said. “We did have some hard shots right at people and it looks good, but it doesn’t help our stats as we are trying to score runs. We fought back to at least tie it there but we couldn’t get it done.”
