A persistent offensive effort and Kailey Larcinese’s three-hit shutout carried Elizabeth Forward to its first Section 2-4A win of the season with a 13-0 triumph over Ringgold Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors (2-3, 1-0) finished with 15 hits and provided plenty of support for Larcinese, who struck out 10 in six innings. She retired eight of the last nine batters she faced.
“I won’t say it was her best but it was one of her better games,” Elizabeth Forward head coach Harry Rutherford said. “She was over 75 percent in total strikes and first pitch strikes were up in the high 70s as well. She hit her spots for the most part and pitched well.
“When it comes to the 15 hits, that is what I expect out of them.”
