Driver arrested after I-70 chase

A Donora man allegedly under influence of a controlled substance led police on a chase westbound on Interstate 70 early Tuesday morning.
Wade John Boyd, 52, is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, DUI of a controlled substance and several traffic violations.
He was arraigned Tuesday afternoon before Magisterial District Judge Larry Hopkins in Charleroi and placed in Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of $35,000 bond.
Police were alerted around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday about a vehicle stopped near the Lover exit with the driver slumped over.
