When the teams in the section include Chartiers-Houston, Frazier and Carmichaels, games against other section foes become crucial if your goal is to make the playoffs.
With that said, Bentworth picked up a huge win in Section 3-2A, topping host Charleroi, 7-3, Tuesday.
The Bearcats (2-4, 1-1) pounded out 10 hits and rode the solid pitching of Leah Lindley to victory.
While Katie Babirad (three), Emilie Snyder (two) and Lindley (two) combined for seven hits, Lindley fired a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and only two walks.
