Richard Lee Russell, 83, of Fallowfield Township, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at the Cambridge Hillside Personal Care Home in North Charleroi. Dick was born on May 25, 1935, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the son of the late Charles and Kathryn (Myler) Russell. Mr. Russell was a veteran who served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was retired from SuperValu, a wholesale food distributor. He spent his retirement as an avid hunter, bow hunter, fisherman and trapper. Dick is survived by his wife, Cora (Berwick) Russell; a son, Jarrod (Lauren) Russell of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Maria (Douglas) Durfey of Pittsburgh; a sister, Suzanne Sinkiewich of Fayette City; four grandchildren, Ethan Russell, Heather (Daniel) Beavers, Kelly Durfey Stewart and Ashton Durfey; a great-granddaughter, Ruby Stewart; one niece and several nephews. Friends will be received Friday, March 29, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019. Interment will be in National Cemeteries of the Alleghenies at a later date.
