Donald J. Ondulick – North Belle Vernon

Donald J. Ondulick, 81, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. A triplet born May 24, 1937, in Monessen, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Agnes Lori Ondulick. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Ondulick was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, where he was active in RCIA, served as an usher and greeter and was a member of the Valley of Hope Prayer group. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s Allenport plant, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed collecting and listening to oldies music. Don was also an avid cyclist and was featured in a newspaper article with an accomplishment of cycling over 24,901 miles, equaling the distance of the equator. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Pepera Ondulick, to whom he was married 57 years; daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Clifford Gorski of Belle Vernon; two grandchildren, Marysa Jo Hazlett and husband Garrett, and Brandon Gorski; great-grandson, Graham Hazlett; and his triplet brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Janice Ondulick of Charleroi. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Ondulick and triplet brother, Dean Ondulick. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the Rosary for the departed soul of Don Ondulick at 3 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers be made in memory of Donald Ondulick to St. Sebastian Church.
